Executive Director Roundtables (EDR) run by HighgateGlobal, brings together groups of 5 to 10 nonprofit Executive Directors, who meet in the Boston, MA region every six weeks - up to 9 times per year - to explore common challenges and issues, share networking contacts and help each other develop their organizations and themselves. At least three times per year experts in particular fields are invited to the meetings to discuss issues of common interest to all members. During meetings, each Executive Director can seek detailed advice into significant challenges facing their organization or personal professional development or spend just a few minutes discussing a challenge-of-the-moment with sympathetic and experienced peers. Strict confidentiality is mandated with the discussion being moderated by an experienced meeting facilitator.
The objective of the EDRs is to make the working life of an Executive Director a little less lonely by creating a virtual “team” willing to both offer and ask advice without fear of reproach or judgement, offering total openness and impartiality.
Members are Executive Directors from nonprofit organizations who share similar problems although may operate in different disciplines with varying missions. This level of cross-pollination helps creative thinking and new ideas to emerge.
